The Lake Collection was among the first map-based skin pools to be distributed through tournament souvenir packages, appearing in the DreamHack 2013 and EMS One 2014 Souvenir Packages. Mudder was one of the Industrial Grade Desert Eagle finishes available through those early events.
Mudder uses a marbleised paint pattern — swirling pigment applied to create the streaked, organic flow of marble veining across the frame. The name references muddied, liquid conditions, tying the flowing paint application to the Lake map's water environment.
As an early-era souvenir skin from 2013–2014 events, Mudder carries historical weight disproportionate to its Industrial Grade base. Copies from DreamHack 2013 are among the oldest souvenir skins in CS2, giving them collector significance for historians of the scene.

Mudder is collected primarily as a DreamHack 2013 or EMS One 2014 historical artefact. The marbleised finish is appreciated on its own, but the vintage souvenir pedigree is the primary value driver.
