Early to mid game. Replace wooden doors as soon as you have metal fragments. The upgrade from 2 satchels to 4 satchels doubles your raid protection for minimal cost.
Inner rooms. Use sheet metal on bedroom, TC room, and storage rooms. Save armored doors for external entrances where raiders attack first.
Airlocks. Double sheet metal door airlocks force raiders to spend 8 satchels just to get through two doors. Cost-effective defense.
