Heavy Skins

All categories

Every heavy weapon skin in CS2 with live prices and float data. Browse all CS2 skins to see the full catalog. Heavy weapons cover two subcategories: shotguns (Nova, MAG-7, XM1014, Sawed-Off) and machine guns (Negev, M249) – roughly 210 skins together.

This is the cheapest skin category in CS2. Most heavy weapon skins cost under $1, and you can kit out all 6 weapons for less than a single mid-tier rifle skin. If you're building a color-matched loadout on a budget, heavy weapons are where you spend the least to complete the set.

Why shotguns are underrated in CS2

Shotguns get dismissed as "noob weapons," but the economics make them rational. The Nova costs $1,050 and gives $900 per kill – the highest kill reward of any weapon in CS2. Two Nova kills pay for the gun plus a full armor buy next round, which makes it a legitimate eco-round weapon. The MAG-7 ($1,300, $900 per kill) is a CT close-angle weapon – on tight choke points (Inferno Banana, Mirage B Apartments, Vertigo stairs) it can shut down a full rush. The Negev and M249 are different: machine guns built for area denial.

Best CS2 heavy weapon skins by weapon

Nova (38 skins)

The most-used heavy weapon in competitive CS2 – one-shot kill at close range, a staple on eco rounds.

  • Antique ($5–$15 FN) – gold engraving on dark steel; the most expensive Nova skin.
  • Hyper Beast ($2–$5 FN) – matches the AWP and M4 Hyper Beast.
  • Koi ($1–$3) – Japanese koi fish design.
  • Bloomstick ($0.50–$1.50) – floral pattern.

Budget under $0.30: Predator ($0.10–$0.30), Caged Steel ($0.03–$0.10), Wood Fired ($0.03).

MAG-7 (35 skins)

CT-side shotgun – semi-auto, dominates close-angle holds.

  • Justice ($2–$5 FN) – bright pop-art comic style.
  • SWAG-7 ($3–$8) – dollar-bill theme, the most unique MAG-7 concept.
  • Petroglyph ($1–$3) – rock carving design.

Budget under $0.30: Heat ($0.10–$0.30), Bulldozer ($0.50–$1), Storm ($0.03).

XM1014 (38 skins)

Semi-auto shotgun with a higher fire rate than the Nova – used for aggressive pushes.

  • Tranquility ($3–$8 FN) – blue-and-white floral, the cleanest XM1014 skin.
  • Incinegator ($1–$3) – fire-and-alligator theme.
  • Ziggy ($1–$3) – colorful zigzag pattern.

Budget under $0.10: Blue Spruce ($0.03), Grassland ($0.03), Scumbria ($0.03).

Sawed-Off, Negev & M249

  • Sawed-Off (36 skins) – T-side, very short range. The Kraken ($3–$8 FN), Limelight ($1–$3), Wasteland Princess ($0.50–$2).
  • Negev (30 skins) – machine gun with an accuracy mechanic for area denial. Loudmouth ($0.50–$1.50), Power Loader ($1–$3), Bratatat ($0.50–$1).
  • M249 (28 skins) – the cheapest skins in CS2, mostly under $0.10. Magma ($0.50–$2) is the best by far, then Spectre ($0.50–$1).

Heavy weapon skin price factors

  • Kill reward drives usage. The $900 kill reward on shotguns (3x what rifles give) means players actually buy them, creating base demand for Nova and MAG-7 skins.
  • Loadout completeness. Players building full color-matched loadouts need heavy weapon skins to fill the set – and because they're so cheap, the cost is negligible.
  • Almost no scarcity premium. Very few heavy weapon skins come from discontinued collections, so prices stay low.

Full heavy loadout for ~$1.26: Nova Predator ($0.10) + MAG-7 Heat ($0.10) + XM1014 Blue Spruce ($0.03) + Sawed-Off Yorick ($0.03) + Negev Loudmouth ($0.50) + M249 Magma ($0.50). The cheapest way to complete a loadout slot in CS2.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best shotgun in CS2?

The Nova for eco rounds ($900 kill reward, one-shot close range, $1,050 cost). The MAG-7 for CT close-angle holds. The XM1014 for aggressive pushes. The Sawed-Off is T-side only and too short-range for most situations.

Are heavy weapon skins worth buying?

If you are building a full color-matched loadout, they are the cheapest way to fill out your inventory – you can kit out all 6 heavy weapons for under $5. Some skins like Nova Hyper Beast ($2–$5) and MAG-7 Justice ($2–$5) also look genuinely good.

What is the most expensive heavy weapon skin?

Nova Antique Factory New at ~$15. After that, MAG-7 SWAG-7 and XM1014 Tranquility at ~$5–$8 FN. Heavy weapon skins are the cheapest category in CS2 overall.

How many heavy weapon skins are in CS2?

Roughly 210 skins across 6 weapons: Nova (38), XM1014 (38), Sawed-Off (36), MAG-7 (35), Negev (30) and M249 (28).

Why is the Negev sometimes used in pro play?

The Negev becomes extremely accurate after 1–2 seconds of sustained fire. At $1,700 it is cheap enough for a half-buy round, and its suppressive fire can deny an entire site entrance. Niche, but legitimate.

What is the cheapest way to complete a full CS2 loadout?

Heavy weapons are the cheapest slot to fill. A full set of 6 heavy weapon skins costs under $2 with Battle-Scarred budget options, and even mid-tier picks (Loudmouth, Heat, Predator) total under $5.
