MAC-10 Skins

All SMGs

The MAC-10 is the T-side's cheapest SMG and the most purchased weapon in CS2 eco rounds. With 55 skins — the largest SMG collection in the game — it has a surprisingly rich skin ecosystem that ranges from the $0.01 Storm Camo to the $395 Hot Snakes. The MAC-10 also hides some of CS2's biggest price anomalies: a Mil-Spec Copper Borre costs $93–183, a Restricted Red Filigree costs $108–139, and yes, the MAC-10 has its own Fade skin at $65–70.

This page lists every MAC-10 skin with live market prices, float values and drop sources. Below is a complete breakdown by rarity, the most valuable skins, price anomalies, and the best picks at every budget.

Why MAC-10 skins matter more than you think

The MAC-10 costs $1,050 in-game — the cheapest SMG available. It is bought in nearly every T-side eco round and force-buy, which means you see it multiple times per half. On T-side, you often use the MAC-10 more rounds than your AK-47. That frequency makes a MAC-10 skin one of the highest-visibility cosmetics per dollar spent.

The MAC-10 also appears in 53 different collections and 38 cases — second only to the AK-47 among weapons. This enormous source variety means the MAC-10 has accumulated some unexpectedly expensive skins from rare and discontinued collections, creating price anomalies where Mil-Spec and Restricted skins cost more than Coverts on other weapons.

MAC-10 skins by rarity

Covert (red) — the premium tier

  • Neon Rider ($82–$110). The flagship MAC-10 skin. A neon anime girl illustration that glows in dark areas of the map. From the Operation Riptide Case. One of the most popular SMG skins in CS2. Highly liquid for trading.
  • Stalker ($34–$185). Dark mechanical predator design. From the Dead Hand Collection. Wide price range due to float sensitivity — FN copies are significantly more expensive.

Classified (purple) — hidden premium

  • Hot Snakes ($195–$395). The most expensive MAC-10 skin by far. A colorful snake illustration from the Gallery Case. Surprisingly premium for a Classified SMG skin — it costs more than many rifle Coverts.
  • Propaganda ($31–$190). Soviet propaganda poster design from the Spectrum 2 Case. The BS-to-FN gap is dramatic.
  • Toybox ($13–$102). Colorful children's toy box. From the Prisma 2 Case.
  • Disco Tech ($5–$26). Disco ball pattern. Affordable and fun.

Restricted (blue) — price anomalies

The MAC-10's Restricted tier contains some of CS2's most surprising price tags:

  • Red Filigree ($108–$139). From the Cobblestone Collection. Extremely expensive for Restricted due to discontinued Souvenir package source. FN-only viable condition.
  • Gold Brick ($40–$128). From the Norse Collection. Gold brick pattern. Another limited-collection price anomaly.
  • Case Hardened ($23–$82). Yes, the MAC-10 has a Case Hardened. Blue gem patterns on the MAC-10 are collectible — full blue coverage can push prices past $200.
  • Graven ($20–$112). Dark carved pattern from the Wildfire Case.
  • Curse ($8–$31). Dark cursed design.
  • Heat ($2–$19). Orange-red heat design. Budget pick.

Other Restricteds: Derailment ($2–$16), Tatter ($6–$17), Pipe Down ($0.42–$8), Button Masher ($0.29–$7), Allure ($0.30–$4), Last Dive ($1–$6), Malachite ($2–$9), Cat Fight ($0.38–$4), Saibā Oni ($1–$6), Sakkaku ($0.25–$1).

Mil-Spec (light blue) — more anomalies

  • Copper Borre ($93–$183). From the Bravo Collection. Extraordinarily expensive for Mil-Spec — it costs more than most Classified and some Covert skins. The Bravo Collection's discontinued status drives this anomaly.
  • Fade ($65–$70). The MAC-10 has a Fade skin! From the CS20 Collection. One of the cheapest Fade skins across all weapons, but still $65+ because the Fade finish commands respect regardless of weapon.
  • Amber Fade ($19–$45). Orange-yellow gradient from the Train Collection. Not a true Fade but a fade-style gradient.
  • Nuclear Garden ($17–$72). Radioactive green. Popular for green loadouts.
  • Aloha ($5–$16). Hawaiian tropical design.

Other Mil-Specs: Ultraviolet ($5–$55), Carnivore ($0.28–$4), Classic Crate ($0.23–$4), Lapis Gator ($0.50–$3), Rangeen ($0.23–$2), Pipsqueak ($0.19–$4), Ensnared ($0.05–$1), Whitefish ($0.19–$3), Oceanic ($0.18–$1), Monkeyflage ($0.05–$2), Light Box ($0.05–$1), Poplar Thicket ($0.08–$1), Off World variants.

Industrial & Consumer — budget tier

The cheapest MAC-10 skins: Candy Apple ($0.13–$0.43 — glossy red, perfect for red loadouts at 13 cents), Commuter ($8–$39 — expensive Industrial from the Baggage Collection), Tornado ($2–$93 — another price anomaly), Indigo ($3–$33), Surfwood ($5–$11), Strats ($1–$5).

Ultra-budget: Storm Camo ($0.01), Snow Splash ($0.01), Bronzer ($0.01), Acid Hex ($0.02), Palm ($0.02). Several MAC-10 skins cost literally one cent.

Best MAC-10 skins for the money

  • Best premium: Neon Rider FN (~$82–$110). The iconic MAC-10 skin. Neon anime glow. Highly liquid for trading.
  • Best mid-range: Toybox FT (~$13) or Propaganda FT (~$31). Both are Classified with detailed artwork at accessible prices.
  • Best budget: Heat FT (~$2) or Candy Apple (~$0.13). Heat for orange-red, Candy Apple for glossy red. Both under $2.
  • Best absolute budget: Storm Camo ($0.01). A one-cent MAC-10 skin.

  • Best flex: Hot Snakes FN (~$395). A $400 MAC-10 skin. Guaranteed to confuse anyone who inspects it.
  • Best for red loadout: Candy Apple (~$0.13). Glossy red every eco round for 13 cents.
  • Best for green loadout: Nuclear Garden (~$17). Radioactive green.
  • Best sticker craft: Allure FT (~$0.30) or Light Box FT (~$0.05). Dark backgrounds that make stickers pop, at near-zero cost.

MAC-10 price anomalies explained

The MAC-10 has some of the most extreme price-to-rarity mismatches in CS2. Here is why:

  • Copper Borre (Mil-Spec, $93–$183): From the Operation Bravo Case (2013), which is discontinued. Very few Copper Borre skins exist. Bravo Collection items appreciate because supply only decreases.
  • Red Filigree (Restricted, $108–$139): From the Cobblestone Collection (discontinued Souvenir packages). Same supply dynamic as the AWP Dragon Lore — no new copies can enter the market.
  • Gold Brick (Restricted, $40–$128): From the Norse Collection (limited St. Marc Collection packages). Another restricted-supply collection.
  • Tornado (Consumer, $2–$93): From the Train Collection. FN copies of Consumer-grade skins from old collections can be surprisingly expensive because so few exist.

These anomalies exist because Valve assigns skins to collections at launch, and when those collections become unavailable, even low-rarity skins appreciate due to fixed supply and growing demand.

MAC-10 collections and cases

The MAC-10 appears in 53 collections and 38 cases — an enormous source variety. Key sources:

  • Operation Bravo Case (2013): Copper Borre (the anomaly Mil-Spec).
  • Operation Riptide Case (2021): Neon Rider (the flagship Covert).
  • Gallery Case (recent): Hot Snakes (the premium Classified).
  • CS20 Case (2019): Fade.
  • Spectrum 2 Case (2017): Propaganda.
  • Cobblestone Collection: Red Filigree (Souvenir only).
  • Norse Collection: Gold Brick.

How float value affects MAC-10 prices

Float value matters more on the MAC-10 than most players expect. The weapon's compact body shows wear clearly on the receiver and magazine. The Stalker has one of the highest float sensitivities among MAC-10 skins — FN copies ($185) cost 5x BS copies ($34). Propaganda shows a similar pattern ($31 BS vs $190 FN).

For budget skins, low-float Field-Tested (0.15–0.20) copies often look nearly as good as Minimal Wear at 30–50% lower cost. This is especially relevant for Disco Tech, Toybox and Heat.

Stickers on the MAC-10 have limited visual impact because the weapon body is small. However, Neon Rider and Stalker have dark sections that make certain stickers visible. Sticker crafting on the MAC-10 is uncommon due to the low per-skin value.

Frequently asked questions

How many MAC-10 skins are there in CS2?

55 skins — the most of any SMG, spanning 53 collections and 38 cases.

What is the most expensive MAC-10 skin?

Hot Snakes FN at approximately $395. Copper Borre FN (~$183) and Red Filigree FN (~$139) are also surprisingly expensive.

What is the cheapest MAC-10 skin?

Storm Camo, Snow Splash and Bronzer at approximately $0.01 each.

Does the MAC-10 have a Fade skin?

Yes — the MAC-10 Fade from the CS20 Collection costs ~$65–70. One of the cheapest Fade finishes in CS2.

Does the MAC-10 have a Case Hardened?

Yes — the MAC-10 Case Hardened has blue gem patterns that can push prices past $200 for full blue coverage.

Why are some MAC-10 skins so expensive for their rarity?

Several MAC-10 skins come from discontinued collections (Bravo, Cobblestone, Norse). When collections stop producing new skins, even low-rarity items appreciate due to fixed supply. The Copper Borre (Mil-Spec, $93+) and Red Filigree (Restricted, $108+) are prime examples.

What is the best MAC-10 skin for eco rounds?

Disco Tech FT (~$5) for the best design per dollar. Candy Apple (~$0.13) if you want glossy red for essentially free. Neon Rider (~$82) if you want the prestige pick.
