Why the MP9 has some of CS2's wildest prices

The MP9 appears in 43 collections and 28 cases, including several discontinued and extremely limited sources. The Cobblestone Collection (Bulldozer), the Gods and Monsters Collection, the 2018 Nuke Collection (Hot Rod), and the Train 2025 Collection (Wild Lily) all contribute skins that have become disproportionately expensive because their sources no longer produce new copies.

The result is a weapon where a Classified skin (Wild Lily, $2,000+) costs more than most knife Dopplers, a Restricted skin (Bulldozer, $101–$967) rivals knife prices, and Mil-Spec skins (Hot Rod $129+, Pandora's Box $135+, Dark Age $74+) cost more than Covert skins on other weapons. The MP9 is CS2's ultimate price-anomaly weapon.

MP9 skins by rarity

Covert (red)

• Starlight Protector ($56–$93). The only Covert MP9 skin. Cosmic star guardian design from the Dead Hand Collection. Ironically, the Covert is NOT the most expensive MP9 skin — several Classifieds and Restricteds cost more.

Classified (purple) — where the real money is

• Wild Lily ($1,999–$2,639). From the Train 2025 Collection. A delicate lily flower illustration. The most expensive SMG skin in CS2 by a massive margin. Souvenir versions from Austin 2025 Major packages will be even rarer. This single skin costs more than a Butterfly Knife Marble Fade.
• Latte Rush ($10–$118). Coffee latte art design from the Fever Case. Wide price range due to float sensitivity.
• Hydra ($4–$49). Multi-headed serpent from the Operation Riptide Case.
• Airlock ($9–$31). Space station airlock design.
• Food Chain ($3–$21). Animal food chain illustration from the Snakebite Case.

Restricted (blue) — extreme anomalies

• Stained Glass ($107–$732). From the Sport & Field Collection. Church stained glass pattern. Extraordinarily expensive for Restricted. FN copies push past $700.
• Bulldozer ($101–$967). Yellow construction vehicle from the Cobblestone Collection. The same discontinued-collection dynamic that drives AWP Dragon Lore prices. FN Bulldozer MP9s are genuinely rare items.
• Hypnotic ($19–$23). Swirling hypnotic pattern from the Chroma Case. FN-only.
• Rose Iron ($6–$15). Rose and iron design.
• Mount Fuji ($5–$16). Japanese mountain landscape.

Other Restricteds: Arctic Tri-Tone ($3–$10), Goo ($1–$4), Ruby Poison Dart ($1–$4), Urban Sovereign ($1–$5).

Mil-Spec (light blue) — more price shocks

• Pandora's Box ($135–$172). From the Gods and Monsters Collection. Yes, the MP9 has its own Pandora's Box — and like the Sport Gloves Pandora's Box, the limited collection source keeps prices high.
• Hot Rod ($129–$196). Pure metallic red from the 2018 Nuke Collection. FN-only float range. The Nuke Collection's limited supply drives this Mil-Spec to rifle-Covert pricing.
• Dark Age ($74–$87). From the Alpha Collection. Another limited-collection premium.
• Setting Sun ($15–$65). Sunset design from the Mirage Collection.
• Music Box ($2–$15). Musical mechanism design.
• Dart ($0.41–$10). Dart board pattern.

Other Mil-Specs: Deadly Poison ($0.36–$7), Capillary ($0.29–$2), Sand Scale ($0.43–$9), Bioleak ($0.26–$1), Black Sand ($0.09–$1), Cobalt Paisley ($0.13–$1), and many more under $1.

Industrial & Consumer — budget tier

Ultra-budget MP9 skins: Dry Season ($7–$66 — expensive Consumer from the Alpha Collection), Storm ($1–$41 — another price anomaly from the Safehouse Collection), Green Plaid ($3–$11), Army Sheen ($1–$2), Old Roots ($0.37–$3), Orange Peel ($0.03–$6).

Free tier: Multi-Terrain ($0.01), Bee-Tron ($0.01), Pine ($0.01), Sand Dashed ($0.01), Buff Blue ($0.01), Dizzy ($0.01), Slide ($0.01). Seven MP9 skins cost one cent.

• Best mid-range: Latte Rush FT (~$10) or Food Chain FT (~$3). Both Classified at accessible prices.
• Best budget: Ruby Poison Dart FT (~$1). Red frog for $1. Perfect for red loadouts.
• Best absolute budget: Multi-Terrain ($0.01). One cent.
• Best flex: Wild Lily (~$2,000+). A $2,000 SMG skin. The ultimate unexpected flex.
• Best for red loadout: Hot Rod FN (~$129–$196). Pure metallic red. FN-only. The same finish as the M4A1-S Hot Rod.
• Best anomaly collector: Bulldozer FN (~$967). A Restricted skin approaching $1,000. Cobblestone Collection rarity.

MP9 price anomalies explained

The MP9 has more price anomalies than any other SMG:

• Wild Lily (Classified, $2,000+): From the Train 2025 Collection — a new Souvenir-only collection from the Austin 2025 Major. Extremely limited initial supply. As the newest premium MP9, prices are still settling but already exceed most knives.
• Bulldozer (Restricted, $101–$967): Cobblestone Collection. Same dynamic as AWP Dragon Lore — no new copies enter the market.
• Stained Glass (Restricted, $107–$732): Sport & Field Collection. Limited supply from a rare collection.
• Pandora's Box (Mil-Spec, $135–$172): Gods and Monsters Collection. Same collection as the AWP Medusa.
• Hot Rod (Mil-Spec, $129–$196): 2018 Nuke Collection. Same collection as M4A1-S Hot Rod and AUG Hot Rod.
